Rear is a twisting beam setup with both sides tied together by the beam that runs across the center. Anything is possible with money but it's not worth trying to do it. With the right suspension setup Cobalt's handle extremely well. They are faster than a lot of cars in a road course, just have to set them up that way. Mine corners like it's on rails and can outmaneuver a lot of camaro's and the like. Spend your money on that and forget trying to do independent rear setup.

Powell yyz springs, koni shocks and struts, hardcore rear swaybar, front rear control arm bushings and good tires. That's a good recipe.
If you run coils and lower the car too much you won't have enough suspension travel and it will limit the car. Most want the low look so that's the way they go, but they will get passed by someone running the setup I mentioned first.

as far as im concerned, the cobalt ss/tc held the production fwd record on the nurburgring, it doesnt need an IRS conversion.

konis are nice but ss/tc struts and shocks work well and are a bit more budget friendly. some powell springs, powell control arm bushings and powell hardcore rear swaybar and itll handle very well.

Anyone have a recommendation on the best place to buy koni yellows? my front shocks are blown and i just put yyz springs on so I figure the konis are the next logical upgrade.

ZZP sells the whole set, tire rack sells them separately. To do the front you will have to cut the stockers because they are just inserts.

Powell makes some cut powdercoated housing ready to accept inserts if you want to do it the easier way.
