Rear Visibility

Does anybody else find that the Cobalts have TERRIBLE rear visibility? Maybe it's because I have the high rise, and maybe it's cause I'm not lowered yet so the rear sticks up in the air... but damn. I work at a car dealership over the summers and I back tons and tons of cars and huge trucks into tight spaces all day long with ease. However my SS is the first car to make me feel uncomfortable backing up. I'd much rather backup a god damn Silverado Quad cab...

Anybody else feel me?

Even more the reason to go wingless. Without that wing you'll be able to see much better

Never driven one with a highrise so I can't say on that bit. But with FE1, FE5, Sportlines, Pedders and a low rise I've never had an issue.

Stock ride height + high rise is terrible.

If you say the Cobalt has bad rear visibility, I know for a fact that you have never driven a new Camaro.

Haha you're right, I've driven those too. Yeah a wingless trunk is on my to do list, but SRTC was a rare colour for the LS balts.

Yeah, that's how I'm feeling. I can't see **** haha. Hopefully once I drop it in the spring it'll get better.

Not trying to be a jerk, but try using the side mirrors. Mine is stock ride height with a highrise, and 5% tint on the back I don't have any problems with it. I just use my side mirrors.

Yeah I know, but side mirrors don't let me see everything I find.

It's not like I can't back it up, I'm just surprised out of all the things I've driven, my balt is the hardest for me to maneuver in reverse.

rear visibility with high rise was pretty much the main reason I tried to find one with a low rise. I have stock ride height and low rise and I have no issues. it's not the best but it's far from terrible IMO

I find that the highrise plus stock suspension covers the light bars on cop cars perfectly.

Haha yeah, hate that. Blocks out some taller truck's headlights at night though!

Or a Solstice with the roof up. That thing is a porthole, not a window.

In any case, as people have said.

Ditch the wing. Or even just dropping to a low-rise will make a difference.

Yeah, I know what'll fix it, I didn't come here looking for a solution, just to complain haha. Wondered if anyone else felt the same way. Hopefully once I drop it, not having the back sticking up like it does will make somewhat of a difference.

I got a lower wing. Sooo much better.

Can barley see the wing now and can see what's, or better yet, who's behind me.

That is very true.
You can't see **** out the back of the Camaro.

At least at stock height with the high rise. It blocks headlights.

SS/TC with low rise spoiler and I still find it very hard to backup. The rear window is small and the low rise wing still gets in the way. The door windows are also up a tad higher then my previous cars.

Got to use your mirrors, i got tints and cant see anything at night but i will say that it is kind of hard as small as the car is, i drive trucks and trailors for work and also have dealership experience and when i first got into my car i noticed that too
