Reasons for wanting a Cobalt?
mine are...
1) my camaro handles terrible in all weather except sunny/dry/summer days type
2) gas mileage for 2 1/2 hour trips to school and back on weekends
3) it looks great
4) its a gm product
5) more power than my camaro (Camaro - 160hp, Cobalt SS/SC - 205hp)
that's all i can think of at this time...i'm sure there are more.
so, let's hear (read) yours...

1) my car is tiny
2) my car weighs 1900lbs ish. . .and in Michigan winter, thats bad
3) my car has 83 hp and probably doesn't know what torque is
4) my car has 2 seats, thats it
5) it has 4WD, thus gets less than 20 mpg through town
6) my car is ugly, cobalt is sexy
7) my car has a 0-60 time of bout......14 seconds (no joke)
8) I love orange, and well. . .sunburst orange
9) did i mention only 83 hp?
Everyone talks about the S/C and its 205 hp. I'm 18, and though i have no points on my license (no its not because my car gets passed by squirrels), the insurance would probably kill me. I may hold out for the SS, though it is an auto. But still thats 170hp, and by then I'll know if the Cobalt is reliable enough. I'm gonna drive one in a couple weeks when my dealership gets them in, 2 of the salespeople have my phone # and are giving me a jingle when they arrive. I've driven the tC, 3, 05 Focus, and Celica, and I'm hoping (and thinking) this car will either beat or meet these other cars. And I mean damn, that orange. Good price too.

love the cobalt
dude, this little icon is crazy! i fell for the cobalt the first time i saw it. ufortunately right now it is a bit out od\f my price range. i had to get a new car because my old one died, and the Scion was the cheapest most economic one arround. i got an xA in black cherry pearl. it's a nice car, but i still want my cobalt. i want to get the white one so i can get the color appointed interior, and then paint it pink. it will be like my old car, but i think i'll get something slightly more magenta next time. if you want to see my old car go to. http://members.cardomain.com/elfinqueen

1) Love the looks
2) Sleeper hit no doubt
3)Domestic wheat all the way!
4)Engines that will most likely have a large aftermarket base.
5)First thing chevy's done good with a 4 cylinder (well other than the cavalier)
6)Its hot

cobalt
Elfinqueen you should have bought a Cavalier! It list for $9995 and will smoke a scion xa. The scion does have a little more room and a little more mpg, but it isn't cheaper.

1. GREAT exterior
2. Love the fact that I can have a silver car with a blue interior
3. Kinda want to mess around with a 4cyl and the Cobalt has an easy layout
4. LSD and 240 hp in only about 2900lbs
5. Great performance for low cash. Esp. when the GM incentives kick in.
6. As soon as GM performance parts gets on it, all hell will break loose...300 hp here we come!

Demestic Rice? Corn! Ohio.. Plz. lol
I want the SS simply on the fact that I have to get a new car, but the deal is, I have to lease it. Automatically ruling out the entire line of aftermarket parts for anything. GAY. But.. I want something fast.. and the SS is stock fast, and affordable. It looks better (in my opinion) than the SRT4, and is a better car than the RSX-S.
Unfortunately, my dad tells me.. 18" wheels and those tires with a supercharger is just going to get you into trouble. Sooo it may be a Z71 Ext. Colorado....... But Come ON! The SS is where it's at.

1) My 86 Thunderbird is Tapped out.
2) Gas Milage on a Cobalt is 3 times that of my Tbird.
3) Cheaper insurance due to airbag and other saftey (just Cobalt LS)
4) Car spins out in rain, cant drive it fast at all unless its perfectly sunny (but I am in AZ)
5) Weighs 1/3 my car almost
6) Tapped out my car (cant go dual exaust!!!) and everything else cost to much for how much I do in repairs a month.
7) 3 yr 3600Mile bumper to bumper and 5 year 70,000 mile powertrain!!! Warrentys are awesome!
I will truely miss the sounds of my car being as its a V8 and I put a 351 4bbl in it. It hauls ass like no other despite being damn near 5000 pounds. I'll miss the rear wheel drive and the mass power, but a turbo kit in the cobalt will fix that.

You gonna need a 10 second car to beat just about any crotch rocket and you don't find many of them on the road.
