recaro seats...
#26
So I stopped off at the upholstery shop on my way into work today.
To do it right, the only way to change the color of the insert is to take it out and replace it, $350 per seat.
He said there are dyes out there that could be used, but they just end up drying out the material and causing it to crack. He said if the insert was vinyl it could be dyed, but not the cloth.
So I ask again... was the light blue the only color that the Saturn Quad bucket Recaros came in?
I'm bailing on the deal I was after, but, intend to keep my eyes open for something different.

I preferred the blue ones in my car, only because my car was blue lol.

OK, good to know what to keep an eye out for. Thanks!
For years I've been seeing Corbeau ads for their A4 in my Hotrod magazines, I just price them out, I could get them cheaper than what this particular Recaro swap would cost me, granted that wouldn't get me the rear buckets, lol.
