Red Tag Event

I have my eye on a 2009 Chevy Cobalt SS, which brought me to these forums. I am also a cheap bastard and I love to haggle.

But, what is GM thinking with the Red Tag event? 0% for 72months or take the $1500 rebate? OR???

Give me $2000 plus 0% for 36months and you have sold a car. Ford is offering $2000 plus 0%/36 month on 2010 cars while Chevy is still trying to push 2009 cars. I don't want to be paying car payments for 6 years. I want to be done in 2-3 years.

The Chevy dealer that has the Cobalt is stock full of 2009s. I am not sure they have a single 2010 on the lot. My local Ford dealer is now full of 2010s and are moving them.

You would think Chevy would be having a fire sale now, but their sale doesn't even match Fords.

Sad...but the Cobalt SS is one underrated car.

Cobalt isn't underrated IMO, the reviews of it are spot on... quick as stink with a **** interior.

Yup, bought my 2005 with 42k on it. GM certified, immaculate condition. 11k I got it for after lots of talking.

Which means in 10 years there will be no nice ones on the streets.
