Release date of the new Srt4?

Did the new srt4 come out yet or just the R/T? I have been puttin alot of thought into getting it since it will be pretty bad ass with 300hp and a 6 speed. At first I personaly diddent like the car and thought it was ugly like most but I saw a yellow R/T at work and its really not that big like everyone is claiming. The Srt4 will be dressed up with the bigger rims, Induct hood, lower suspension, groundaffects? etc.. so I am thinking it would look pretty bad ass in Black. I am going to start saving for a downpayment because my cobalt lost so much in value Msrp was 19,999 and now these clowns are offering me 10 grand for it with 22k miles. I got my payoff down to 14 grand almost so I will probably get slammed with extra money getting this car anyway. Aslo has the AWD option been dicontinued? I heard it will be awd then I heard not.

The Caliber SRT-4 is so overrated. Even with 300 HP, at 3200 lbs of curb weight it won't be much faster than us. Plus it is ugly as sin. I will be surprised if I see many of them around. They aren't really a car, and they ride pretty high. I guess it is a matter of opinion whether or not you like it.

As far as when they are out...I have no idea.

The chances for a AWD SRT-4 are zip to none. As far as your trade, you can easily get 13-15k for it. When I was thinking about trading mine in they offered me 16k for it and I got them up to 18k for a 2005 w/ 11k miles on it. They should be out the first or second quater of 2007

Your could get the Jeep Whatever (forgot name) it's just like the Caliber and I think it will be AWD if not 4x4. Just buy that, and turbo that sumbitch!

cobalts are 2900 lbs of curb weight.... 3200 isnt much more considering the "300" HP (depending on actualy dyno tests) I wanna see a stock dyno o n one of these.... If they overrate it.... it wouldnt suprise me.

Jeep Compass...we took one out over the weekend. 4x4 with the 2.4 Slow as dog sh*t but a very practical little truck for the money. I would buy one if I needed 4 wheel drive at a cheap price

Are you serious? 300lbs is huge. You try and put 6 50lb bags of sand in tour car and see how much of a difference it makes.

True. Your words are as true as the sky is blue. The new SRT-4 will be a mid 13 sec. car at best, and only IF AWD is offered. If you do the math, it is equivalent to a 270 crank HP Balt SS/SC. So about 240whp is equal to what the SRT-4 will pull off the lot.

On the contrary, I think the SRT-4 will be OVERRATED in HP if they use the heavy, heavy drivetrain found in AWD setups. Lot's more power is lost in AWD setups.

It will be fast, like the previous. But it will also be an ugly little bugga--> like the previous.

If the SRT-4's 300bhp is only slightly overrated and it comes out to 280 at the wheels This thing will be a monster with nothing more than an unrestricted exhaust and a new waste gate actuator depending on turbo specifications. We all know the neon srt-4 was underrated, we can only assume the same. This car will be pulling low 13's for about 500 bucks (AGP WGA if available and a dump)

I saw a new Caliber SRT-4 on the road yesterday. Those things look like mini Durango's with their huge front end and SUV style backend!

If you are conscerned about your vehicle losing value over time, it will be no different with the Caliber SRT4. The value will drop like a rock! It's American made, get used to it if you want to continue driving American vehicles!

For the most part, yeah get used to it. If they discontinue the CSS/SC and you had one of those you might retain some value. I know when I traded my SRT4 in it was an 05 with 6k on it, I paid 19,100 they gave me 17,100. That is very good considering the facts stated above, it was gone for close to 22 like a week later. but with a plain cobalt, yeah, deal with it.

AWD has been a hope and a wish of the community from the beginning.
Dodge has never even considered it.

this ugly fridge will be a wheel hoppin biatch from the get go.
Also heard a rumour that its pretty much a tapped out powerplant.

could be just bs though. but i know for a fact that its a FWD.

Its not nearly as big as I originally thought it would be, look at this picture next to what appears to be an altima or some 4 dr sedan. the SRT-4 will surely be approx 3 inches lower. It will resemble a boxy matrix in size. Still not saying it looks good, just saying its not very big.
