Been catching a lot of hate for my roof rack on my ss. I think it looks good lol everyone says its rice or retarded. What's everyone's opinion on them? I use mine for snowboarding, hauling fishing stuff, and carrying random objects lol.

 

ehhhh...i barely like roof racks on cobalts and when i do like them i think theyre only on sedans...lol dk about rice though

Im still not fully a big fan lol if someone offered me $300 for the rack and basket it would be gone tomorrow lol. Its nice to have extra storage thou. If a Honda or vdub does it, it's cool lol but if a cobalt has one then it's not allowed.

 

The rack definitely isn't rice, I dig it. If anything is its all the damn stickers

well ive never seen one on a honda or vdub so dont know if its alright or not lol. but yeah i guess i would have to warm up to it but idk it looks like roof racks belong on sedans more than 2doors. just my opinion though alot of people love them here

 

If anything, it slows your car down, let alone not even making it "look" fast.

It's not rice, if it is, than the minivans with those giant cargo containers are riced out.

and imo i love the way they look on our cars and i would have one.

 

if you use it for bikes , then you're fine. If you use it for looks ..... then thats something else. I wouldn't call it rice , but if you use it then hey, who cares what people say. It's your car , its your money.

 

id say its kinda rice cuz its what the new stance/rice people do. but the new stance/rice scene is pretty clean cut these days so i'm not hatin on it.

Yeah this. If you use it then its fine but if it's just there for looks then... no haha. Only reason I don't have one is I'd probably never use it. My snowboard gear fits in the trunk just fine with the back seats folded down.

haha. that has only happened once.... : ) Im pretty much the only guy around this area that has a rack. Im gonna keep it on year round just to be different now since people think its goofy looking haha.
I could fit my board and all that in the car but Im usually lazy when I get done and dont feel like throwing it back into the bag. I just throw it up top. I guess I could take the basket off when I dont really need it and it would make it look a little bit less goofy lol
