I was speaking with my dealer and he saud that the Rims for 06 may be different. He did not have any pictures except for the description of the rim. When he compared the 05ss with the 06ss the descriptions differed. I cannot remember the exact differences but if anyone else has any information about this please post.

I think I read somewhere that you are waiting for a 2006 SS/SC. So am I. I also wondered about the rims, however, I don't think they've changed on the SS/SC. I honestly think we are in a better postion with the 2006's because there are some mechanical issues with the 2005's that I can only assume GM rectified with the new models (e.g. sunroof clip, driveshafts, detonation). Yea I think that we are in a better position aswell. Where abouts in Ontario are you? Once we get our cars we should go for a cruise! My dealer says I should see mine early September, how about you? Should be nice fall driving weather!

 

dj4all - This doens't really have anything to do with the SS/SC but you should re-write your email address to something like abc_at_xyz_dotcom. You'd be surprised how many ad crawlers scour sites for hyperlinks like yours. This will help avoid them sending all kinds of crap to your inbox.

 

some of the pictures from the gm small car bash show a ss with different rims, someone said they looked kinda like old cavy rims. however, I don't think they were on a ss/sc, so those may be different

 

actually yes they do differ from 05 to 06. The 06 have more of the silver look, instead of the gunmetal. My dealer here in town has 2 SS non SC and their rims are silver.

 

I dont think that appearence of the rims is going to be different I think that it is more the structure of the rims. I remember my salesman saying something about the lip of the rim.
