I can only say I am forever indebted to you all and in some way, beyond what has already been accomplished, I will make it up to you all!!

I was embarrassed when I originally posted my story, being 38 and in the situation i'm in is, well, embarrassing. But I wanted you all to know the truth and not some BS from some rumor mill.

From myself, my wife and kid's, our deepest and most sincere THANKS!!!!!!

Right now, the money is going for childcare, groceries, power bill, and 2 month's payments on the cobalt. It is important to us return the favor to try and keep the car and continue to contribute to the cobalt community.

I hope to be able to meet most of you at the GM small car bash and will be offering deeply discounted custom tuning to return the favor to you all!

An update to my situation, since the car business is not a stable income (flat rate) I have started back to school full time for 18 months to pursue a degree in Aviation maintenance. I served in the USAF and worked on F16's so it should be a smooth transition to an hourly good paying job. I will continue to work on cars, hopefully thru the shop or on the side at home and continue to give back to you all as much as you have gave back to me!

Again,

THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! In the most humbling way!

Rob, you are welcome in every way shape and form known to man! We all love ya! Good luck with everything. I'll be seeing you around.

I emailed $25 to his paypal. Guys I do not own a Cobalt but I stop in here from time to time just to see if I should be careful when I pull up beside a Cobalt at a stop light. Ha Ha
I have got to say that this is one of the nicest things that I have ever seen people do for someone. When it comes to national distasters everyone seems ready to help out but sometimes we forget about the nice people down the street that need our help in a tough situation. You guys are awesome!

Wow, I never expected it to go that high. At first I was thinking we were lucky if it got to $500. I hope this helps make the next few months a little easier for you Rob and good luck with school, I'm glad to hear you are going back.

It is awesome to know that this community really is in fact an online family. Rob I don't know if you will have the time or the ability to come but there is a cruise near my house in Lincoln Park Michigan. There are a few members coming out. You are more than welcome to come it is a very large organized event much like the dream cruise. PM ME if you want details. Then I will buy you a few shots and we shall see pink elephants !

Rob,
If you dont mind saying, what did your wife go in for? Maybe I have missed it in earlier posts; and if you dont want to say thats understandable.

I don't mind at all. She goes in for foot surgery in 2 weeks, then she has to get her Vagel nerve stimulator either removed or changed after that. When she was 25 she had a brain tumor and had to have almost 1/2 her brain removed. She literally had to relearn most of the stuff we learned in grade school. Now at age 36 she almost has her college degree and is a manager for Anthem blue cross blue shield ins. I have to give her props for that as most people would have given up.

Thanks to all you great and generous fellow cobalt owners, allot of stress has been removed from our family.
