There is no way to even justify what you are thinking!! It doesn't even make sense to be doing what you are thinking of doing for her. Don't forget SHE broke up with you! If you don't take the SS and give her the Civic, then just give her the SS and walk away completely from her! I don't know what kind of answer you were expecting to get out of us, but you would be getting rid of any manhood that you have if you do decide to go through with that!!

Anyway, when a GF left she took our minivan (owed $3 grand on it) I bought a $250 rusted out beater Tempo, limped it 6 hours to where she took off to, signed it over, left the keys in it and took the Van. Sold the van, bought my SS. Pissed she was, but screw that paying for something I WAS NOT using myself. Ultimately she pooched the tranny in the van anyway, but I got most of the money back on it, and well the Tempo didnt last 6 months. Do I feel bad....not in the slightest.

Well im gonna be brutally honest
1) Why the hell are you paying for a car that SHE owns and is in her possesion and you dont even get to drive it. She has it in her possesion and will, she should be paying for it not you.

Look at it this way..$5500 dollars you will have spent on her til she "gets on her feet." I can, so can everyone else, find a WAY better way to spend that money...if this girls in college and doesn't have a job yet..Wow. Someone must have some money(her parents).
2) I think if you told your mom that you sold the civic to her, THEN went out and bought the cobalt. I dont see the big deal then. Seeing as you got the money to make payments. Plus that honda will do WAY better on gas than the cobalt for her. Cheaper to run and everything.
