SC/TC shifter in a standard SS???

Im trying to install a sc/tc shifter in my standard SS model. It looks like the cables might be a different length because when I connect everything, the cables don't quite reach properly and my shifter sits off to the side when it should be centered. Does anyone happen to know if the cables are different lengths? Or if this is even possible to do? Also the shifter clusters appear to have the cable connecting points in different spots. The cluster from the sc/tc one seems to be a little longer than my standard one and it reaches further ahead towards the firewall. Any information would be appreciated. Thanks

Will not work. I also tried in my car. I think the cables are probably all the same between all the models but since the transmissions are different in the LSJ and LNF, the cables probably connect differently and won't allow the shifters to be interchanged between the cars
