Sorry to hear that man, at least you are ok. Have you talked with your insurance company yet? Hopefully you can put the cash you get for the car towards a new ss/tc
its to bad man, your car was nice, especially those eyelids.
The car is totalled but at least you made it out ok. And you should definately fight that citation and sue the city since you crashed cause of a pothole in the road anyway, and id imagine itd have to be a pretty big pothole to send the car out of control like that.
Hopefully you will get over the loss of the car soon, and can pick up a used ss/sc, or put it towards a new ss/tc, or pretty much anything else for that matter, although itd be cool if you got another balt, and remained one of the Illinois cobalt owners

Sorry to hear about your car, as the others say I am glad you are ok. I have seen some pretty narly cobalt wrecks and allot of people come out with minor injuries.

I know it sucks to loose a car that you love. When I found out that my wife was pregnant it was hard to have the talk about getting a "bigger" or 4 door car and get rid of my SS/SC. I loved that car and still do, but I LOVE my SS/TC. Its a sedan but it is just as fun as a coupe but with less bitching from the back seat. If you get the new turbo car you will love it! Again glad you are ok!

Wow man! Glad you made it out ok. I cant imagine how you feel. I know how i would feel if it was my car this happened to. I would be sick. You probably had a lot of time and money spent into your car, but just pick up a new turbo or a used ss/sc with low miles on it. Those pictures are hard to look at BTW!!

Glad you're OK, definately. Those ramps there are full of potholes; how fast were you going?

I will supposedly be getting one either way......BUT...I didn't want an ss/tc...I loved my ss/sc. I loved it...had plans for it...it was different. And enjoyable....*sigh* guess I gotta join the turbo crowd now

I agree with going after the city. That's rediculous to have pot holes that big. I almost had the same thing happen to me 2 months ago and happened to miss the thing by inches.

PICS IN FIRST POST INC
Oh my! I'm so sorry. I know how much that car meant to you, I still remember when you posted about getting it.

Just don't turn into another tc douchebag.

Srsly? I know of 3 people who were killed in Cobalt crashes. Are they pretty safe? Yeah, but definitely not foolproof.

Hey man, glad to hear you made it out alright and sorry about the car. Don't go joinin the t/c community lol I'm sure you can find another s/c. Hell, there's a silver one right around the corner from my house at this dealership, so they're out there!

Not sure what the regulations are where you live. But in some areas in Canada you have to start your claim within 7 days of the accident. Check it out make sure you do not miss your opportunity.

Glad to hear you are OK.

I had a friend total his VW on one here in Pittsburgh right after we graduated high school. The pothole itself was 3/4 of the lane wide, 3' long, and almost 8" deep. It was through the pavement, down into the dirt underneath. What's worse is it was around a blind turn with a streetlight out so he had no chance to see it and miss it.
