To sell or not to sell

So its been forever since ive posted...i lost my perminant job so i havent had time to really spend time on the forums...however i wanted to get a general interest post up.

I am thinking of selling the cobalt within the next few months...right now i am really unsure but leaning towards getting rid of her to a good home.

I have taken exceptional care of her....she is a show and go car and the car is drivable. some things will be removed so the car is more reliable.

so should i or shouldnt i part with my baby????
and if so...what do you think a good asking price is?

.

honestly you will never see close to what you put into the car and idk if i could see anyone spend over 30k for ur car i mean all the time and everything involved on it is worth over 100 g's but lets face it people wont pay what you have in it. best thing for it is part it as close as you can back to stock and make the money off the parts.

$15,000 to $18,000 depending on the year, and the miles. if you find the right buyer, you might get $20,000 for it, but modded cars are impossible to sell. part it out.

cant really put a price on the blood and sweat someone puts into their car. no one knows the clinks and clacks like you do, no one knows what it means when the dash blinks or when the lights flicker. you just cant put a price on that much love.

If you can sell that and make money you need to become a salesmen or saleswoman.

barrett jackson is a no reserve style. i would try mecum auto auctions if you don't want it to sell for too low as they allow reserves. or just put it up on a show car site. or mautofied.com, a lot of people buy from there.

Wow i was talking to Kenny not to long ago about buying the Z06 brakes off of it and then all of a sudden he quit returning my emails. Now i see why. I think you could get $20K out of it. There are rich kids everywhere looking to just buy something like that you just gotta find them!

yeah id like to sell the car as a whole but the chances of getting rid of it at the price that wouldnt kill me is like never going to happen.
a lot has changed in the past few months and i have been laying low...but i cant hold on to her forever. ya know.
old memories and i need a new project anyway, something new to enjoy and drive and not go so nuts on.
looking into getting a genesis turbo. was going to get a camaro and had money down but lost interest when they actually started being produced.

im just at a different stage in my life and i have to move on...the car gave me some wonderful memories but now they are just too much to bear thinking about...and id rather someone else enjoy it like i did.
its a wonderful show car. i will miss it dearly. at the very least i will part out some things and go back to stock and drive it every day with the kit and rims.

If i were you i would just keep it, due the fact that you will not get anymore then blue book....A cobalt is a Cobalt and a Modded one means nothing and yes Im aware of the cars work...too much fiberglass imho.

Or like others have mentioned part it out, get it to stock form if possible, then sell it a little below bluebook or maybe hope to get at least a little more and make your money on the parts...regardless you will never see the money you put into it...its a shame but these are budget cars not investments.

With the amount of custom work on the car its going to attract a particular person and not the masses, You may also try a specialty Auction, you may end up getting more cash there, BUT keep in mind the auction house will get a chunk of the change...

hey blue...i actually did find a new job and i making better money...thats not why i will probably sell...its just that the cars sitting there and not sure it will do any more shows. maybe 2 more if im lucky this year. kenny and i split up...he was the main motivator to get out there and do shows...without someone to share that with, its not the same anymore.
so i knew it would come down to it eventually and that the car would have to be sold or parted. but now seems to be that time.
