Shift Boot Plastic Ring Holder Thingy
Shift Boot Plastic Ring Holder Thingy
Ok,
so I'm trying to figure something out here... I recently installed a new shift boot, and when I did, the plastic ring that hold the shift boot open (at the bottom) and allows it to clip into the silver trim on the console broke. It's still in there, and it works, but it's loose and it drives me up a tree. I contacted the dealership, and the best price they can do is 52 dollars....
. I'd rather melt something plastic in my house and take my chances making my own bracket. So my question was this, 1. does anyone know the part number for this product, the dealership couldn't give it to me. and 2. does anyone have on they want to get rid of for any reason
.

well I'm goin to the junkyard anyway to try and find a 2.4L SS bumper (HA good luck to me..) so i'll look then. how do you guys think the SS/SC fascia (front) would look with the rest of the body for the ss/na? good?bad?stand out a lot?
lol yeah good luck on findin the bumper.. i think it would look good with the added lip on the front.. im thinkin bout goin full ss/sc body kit on my lt.. looks really good and it keeps a factory look...
the silver trim, if i understand correctly is basically molded to the trim piece with the cup holder and all that stuff and is a non replaceable item so you would have to find the whole upper shifter console trim piece to replace it which is probably why they were quoting you $52
