Should all Cobalt/HHR/G5 forums join into a class action lawsuit against GM?

This is a serious question and I would like to hear your thoughts on this. The electric steering motor and ignition switch issues have caused fatalities. It seems that GM has turned a blind eye to these issues.

Do you think it would benefit any of us members to join into a class-action lawsuit with other Cobalt forums? What about the HHR and the Pontiac G5 forums? If you are wondering what our "loss" would be.....is the value of our vehicles. These defects have caused our vehicles to lose monetary value. This is especially important when it comes time to sell or trade the vehicle in for another new car. Eventually it will get to the point to where people will walk up to you and say, "hey you have a Cobalt, killed anyone lately?" (read this as joke noir)

We could pull those forums into the fold as well. It would be one hell of a big group.

Excuse me if I use proper English grammar and spelling. I'm not into this stupid "gangsta" language bullsh*t.

Do you really think someone is going to come up to you and say "hey you have a Cobalt, killed anyone lately?"

Op do you walk up to Toyota drivers and ask them if they've accelerated out of control and ran over someone lately?

A class action lawsuit is for when you've been wronged, cheated, overcharged, or mislead by a company, not because there was parts issues.

..

You know how that would work. Attorneys would get millions and if you are on the list you would get 8 bucks or so. Hardly worth it to add insult to injury to a struggling company in my opinion. That being said, I was never for the big govt bailouts either tho, just dont see the point in making the lawyers rich and hurting GM. How are these cars killing people? Is the steering locking up or just losing power assist? Id hate to think its the latter, but who knows. Ive run across a few people in recent years in near hysterics because they're car stalled in traffic. Hell, with the cars I learned to drive in that was sometimes a daily thing. Just muscle the steering till she fires again. LMAO. Of course the usual rituals to starting a carburated car....pump it 2 times or whatever, crank it till it fires and dies, then one more time pump it, but not 2 or it floods.....

I think that most of you that are reading this thread are missing the point I was trying to make. If you paid $20,000+ for your car, and because of all the litigation issues regarding the car, the value drops to perhaps 80-90% of book value, then we all have a problem. I did not pay cash for my 2010 Cobalt SS. I financed it. I got a really good deal on the car, but if it only worth 20-30% of what I still owe, then I should sell it and cut my losses.....that is "if" I can sell it.

GM could be liable for loss of value. What you paid verses what the vehicle "should" be worth in 4-5 years.

Go get your ignition changed for free and quit your belly aching. Sad to say your cobalt wasnt worth **** when it was new off the lot anyway. This didnt hurt your cars already zero value

I just sold my 2007 ss for 8500$ with 108k miles. Neither issue has been fixed. I didnt worry about it, it didnt hurt my resale, no one came up to me and asked if i had killed anyone lately, i dont feel gm owes me any compensation as they offered to fix it for free, and i dont think you should worry about it either. Thats like bitching out kiebler because all the elf cookies were broken when you bought a pack. You can still eat all the cookies and enjoy them....

I guess I should go up to the next Honda owner I see and ask, "have you won any races lately"? But no I don't see a point in this.
