Lightbulb Should I get a carbon fiber hood

Just got the word from my salesman here at my dealership that the new incentive will be saving me another grand on the car i ordered. Naturally im going to do the irresposible thing and get more mods put on when it comes in with that grand. So I'm thinking, header and carbon fiber hood. Does anyone have a CF hood and could you tell me how good it fits and if it is really that much lighter.....

thanks guys

Waste of money unless you are interested in the weight saving.

Some punk will just smash it to spite you...

I already have the stage 2 worked into my deal. Have you really had people bust your hood up..... thats probably the only thing that would really worry me. Couldn't i just take the struts off that hold the hood up......

i don't think anyone will bust your hood and yes you don't have to attach the strut but you'll need some sort of prop

when i get mine im gonna paint it red like the car on top then leave it carbon fiber on the bottom, i think that will look good and also stop the attention of the kid who wans to smash it cuz they see carbon fiber

I have seen it a places like DARKNIGHTS where two shitpumps get into a fight and one smashes someting shiney and easy to reach... Hood is as shiney and easy as they get.

Probably not going to happen, I just think it attracts alot of unwanted attention to a car in a parking lot. Paint it and no one will care..

Getting a carbon fiber hood to save weight and only buying the hood alone yields a very insignificant amount of weight dropped. You'd be better off dieting, sure as hell less expensive.

^^ It's not that much weight...

Run a 1/3 Tank of gas and you have saved more than two hoods...
