Just had 3 inches of ice and 11 inches of snow, I was severely impressed with how my car handled, I've always had a four wheel drive and this car did almost just as well and this is the most snow we've ever gotten

8-9 inches here. Did fine. Run every stop sign and do 2nd gear roll outs.

Sucks for the clutch but it works.

Also, I like to leave traction control on. Keeps me from over doing it.

Do you have narrow width snow tires?

Not quite snow tires, but probably one of the better all-seasons for sure. I have a set of General Tire Altimax Arctics snow tires on my Cobalt, 215x45x17. Sunday we had about 2" of snow and I just got to work in what started out as almost 3" but only a dusting here at work. I had no problems whatsoever. I've had these on my car for winters since I got the car in '09 and have made it through 8" of snow without a problem. Unplowed 10"+ is a problem as my Cobalt does not double as a snow plow. I highly recommend snow tires if you can afford them and have a place to store them. Driving in the snow is a non-issue and I look forward to it. I first drove a car with snow tires ~10 years ago and have had a set of snow tires on every car I've owned since.
