How much?

I watched a car and driver editorial video the other day (Csaba Cseres) stating that the State of Virginia is trying to pass laws that allow "administrative fees" to be applied to speeding tickets. He cited an example where the driver was 20 over, fined $200 and then bitch slapped with a $1000.00 administrative fee on top of it!!!!!!!! Talk about money grab, HOLY ****!.

Sounds like the U.S.A. is in need of another REVOLUTION for cryin out loud! Your Governments are raping you.........and I'm sure we'll be next.
These bastards are getting way too bold and arrogant.

were you pacing another "fast" looking car at the time and chatting back and forth like you were about to race?

Gotta be a story here.

I have no doubts. Things are getting pretty crazy.
Whenever a Governing body is short of cash due to their own fiscal irresponsability, they just dream-up another TAX! and pawn it off as a FEE, LEVY, TOLL etc. because it's more palatable for the (in their minds) brainless "little people" that just open their wallets and behave.
It's becoming the same in Canada.

Infuriating!

you suck at telling stories...so what did the cop say? sounds like your sugarcoating it or leaving all the good details out.

man, if that **** happened to me i'd be irrate and telling the whole thing, word for word.

either way, congrats on your ticket. if you tell the judge the same story you told us he probably won't do anything, it doesn't sound very convincing.

Well, I just got off the phone with the Missouri State Police and apparantly, the above mensioned gentleman was holding up a procession of drunken Shriners and prostitutes trying to get to the Circus.
Jeepers man, you'll be lucky if you don't do time for this.

have you no shame?

No way in hell that ticket will stand up on court. NOT A DAMN CHANCE! The judge will look at the case, laugh, and let you go. Sounds like one of 3 things happened here

1. You were doing something stupid.
2. You have done something to **** this cop off before.
3. This cop had NOTHING to do.

I think I would call a lawyer and ask them if their is anything you can do for the cop harrassing you. It will look really bad if the cop already pulled you over 2 weeks ago for rolling the stop sign and now hes pulling you over for "suspicous driving".... sounds like Harrasment to me.

Seriously though, you don't need a lawyer.
Show up to contest the ticket. If you have a valid argument, it will be thrown-out. The courts have no time for this stuff.
If on the other hand, you fudge the truth.........you will be fined, beaten, and have your ********* ripped from your body.

Its that God damned wing on the trunk again! Cops are drawn to it like its a donut shop or a moth of an open flame. They just can not help themselves, its instinct, they see the wing and the thought "MUST... PULL... OVER... KID... AND... HARRASS... HIM" is too strong for them to over come.

i think jack hit the nail on the head. i've never had a ticket in my life till i got the cobalt. dude says it was doing 56 in a 45. it was more like 51 in a 45, and i've gone down this road a bazillion times in about 30 different vehicles the same way past the same douche bag. did it today in my blazer and he didn't give me a second look.

Quick Reply: So, i got a ticket today..
