im so mad right now at my dealership... i have had this car for 1300 miles and this is the second time my check engine light has been on. well i calll them today and im like ok my lights on again can i swing by... and the guy was like sure what time can we expect you... i said 4 everythings goin like a good day...

problem 1 i get there and the manager claims to have never spoken to me on the phone so i have no appointment anymore..

problem 2... thus creating an hour wait just to get a diagnostics reading...

problem three... the guy comes up to me and says we have a slight problem... ( why do they always say that... do they like our hearts to stop beating!!!) and he tells me weellll we have a code... but he's never seen anything like it...(yet another heart skipped beat goes by) and he theeeennn tells me... it came up as an :unknown: code.... WTflyingF is that suppose to mean... anyways????????

Problem 4 "sir our internet is down so we cant actually get any more information on this specific problem right now."

problem 5 i get my rental... 1 its a 4 door base ls balt with no cruise, no armrest, barely a stereo... i mean boooootttooom of the barrel balt. 2 i get a 1/4 tank of gas, and it just i figured that i would get an equal or greater value kinda thing.. i mean i was tboned when i had my 99 s 10 and i got an 08 charger????

problem 6... unkown time limit to fix.

problem 7... which got under my skin... does anyone in central ohio who deals with ricart chevrolet.. have a silver SS sc because all the mechanics had a good time pointin and laughin and makin fun of the car.. and saying the driver needed to learn to drive it because its been in and outta the shop for a while now... untill the mechanic asked me what i drove... and i said that yellow balt over there... and they kinda walked away... i hate HATERS!!!!!!!

i need a peice of pizza.... i'll check back up in a few... thanks for hearin my stressed out issues

 

Hate to sound like a dick, but it sounds like they're being pretty reasonable

 

It seems like most dealers are shitty. I swear it seems like they hire a bunch of back yard mechanics.

 

wow good luck with that.. I'm no longer going to my Chevy dealership cause of the dickin around but going to a Pontiac dealership ya I know its all GM! I'm surprised and kinda bummed that the S/C seems to have more issues then any other Cobalt or is that me?

 

i hate dealerships to they have scratched my car 3 times on 4 different pannels and they deniend it the last time the reason why its there is because they cant fix the leak from my sun roof that drips through my on star speaker its been there 6 times
still not fixed

 

I don't bother with them. I don't even trust other people to do work on my car for the most part, but especially the dealership. If you must let other people do your work, then it is best to at least do the research first. I do this anywhere I go aside from cars even.

You should have went to an autostore and got a free scan at least. At best, have a way to do your own scans. Researched the code and figured out likely what it is and what it takes to fix. A) Do these things, since now you know. B) Tell them here is what is wrong and here is the timeframe that is reasonable. Never good to show up anywhere and leave the table completely open.

I have never heard anything good about Ricart. I got my 'balt at Buyer's

 

yeah they also led us to believe they were going to pick my car up in a truck when we bought it... to find out the day i got it it had 260 miles on it from the drive from PA... im not going back to ricart again... its just makin me mad... that and they were supposed to have the part friday and call me... still no call... WTF!!!

 

im glad you can fix every damn problem on your car the first time and not have a problem

 

And thats when you tell them, thanks but no thanks. Especially if they had you sign a odometer statement before the drove it to the lot. That makes the contract null and void.

 

Im a backyard mechanic also lol.... Thats why I dont work at a dealer!! *******
