With people posting about having problems with their cars while still being new, it got me wondering. Are the guys/gals having these problems, people who have ordered their cars and had to wait for it to be built, or did they just get it off the lot.

I ordered my 06' SS/SC, have mods done and have no issues whatsoever.

I got mine off the lot, although it was a lot 4 hours away, so you can kind of say it was sort of special ordered. =P

Had to order it. Got it a week and a half ago and no problems. I love this car so much. Everyone in town seems to like it too.....gigili gigili gigili...oh ya!!!

My car was shipped in from a Delaware dealership. So I guess I ordered mine too.

 

Bought mine off the lot on the 4th of July

had 76 miles on it

 

bought both mine off the lot. Didn't have any problems with my 2.2 but plenty with my 2.4

 

i special ordered mine about a year in advance

 

Got mine off the lot from a dealer 30 mins away. But they got the car from Indiana....Still only had 30 miles on it.

 

off the lot, had to go over to the next town though

 

They had to order mine from PA. There were 0 SS/SC's in New England at the time.

 

Special ordered mine. Took around 2 months from time of order to when I took delivery.

 

That's about how long mine took.

 

Off the lot, but I lucked out because they'd just received it that day. And I lucked out with the G85 package, Onstar, etc.

Dealer was about 30 minutes away.

 

I got mine off the lot....some other dealers lot about an hour away.

 

I caugt mine just before it left the factory, the only one slated for my area had leather(leather..dogs) so I stopped it in time to get cloth and no sunroof

 

Got mine about 200 miles away in Albany, NY

 

i flew 275 miles and drove mine home. is that special ordered?

 

I got mine at the dealership in town, like 5 mins away. It had been sitting there for like 4 months.

got mine at the dealer. in town. exactly what i wanted. Blue granite metallic, 5 spd. wing. well i guess its not an ss so i didnt get exactly what i wanted.

 

How would it make any difference if it was ordered or off the lot???

 

Off of the showroom floor.Red SS/SC,no xm or on star,just as I wanted.

 

Made me wonder if knowing it was a special order that the builders took more care, or if it was destined for a dealer , they kind of threw it together (so to speak)

 

I doubt the builders have any clue where the car is going or to whom it is going to. Its not a Z06.

Maybe someone that works at a plant can chime in on this???
