Radar detector went off but not soon enough, as I was passing him and it lit up! :P

Dude I passed a cop accidently at night going about 85 in a 35 lol, i didnt notice until i saw his badges lol. But i lucked out and he din pull me over, sucks for the unlucky ones q

I got one going 41 in a 35! stupid ass cops!

 

How much was it? sucks though .. I got one and only one doing 100k in a 60,lol.. Then I bought a detector but its soooo sensitive..

 

That's what I am trying to figure out :/ is there a way around acually showing him? If so that woul be AWSOME!

I dont know what kind of detector I have, but when he got me my detector was in City mode, not Highway. I think that was the prob.

My best friend got his first ticket yesterday, hes got an S-10, He went to pass somone on a hill. The speed limit was 40 and the guy was going 30. He passed him and got up to at least 71 he said and the cop passed him.

I hate cops....

 

I don't know that its that easy first we need to find out if he can just pay it . Some states just give you a court date if you are under 18.

I'm guessing you are a cop, lol. Just curious does anyone know the penalty for getting caught driving with plates that don't go to the car they're on?

Kerley Did the officer just give you a court date? or was there a way to pay it he should have told you either of those.

Most detectors don't do you any good at 90mph your traveling to fast for them to get signal fast enough.

3 rules to speeding
#1 know the roads your traveling
#2 Pay attention far ahead of yourself if you can't see that far slow down!
#3 Cops have places they like to sit they tend to sit in the same spots know where they sit.

 

He told me when he handed me the ticket, he showed me the court date and said I didnt have to go. Then he showed me the # I have to call to see how much it is and how I can pay. I have to call within the next to weeks he said.

 

Then just call the number and pay it! Easy fix if you don't have the money thats a whole different problem . but you should not need to tell your father to take care of it..Good luck bud!

 

so there you go... depending on the law, you shouldn't have to go for a speeding ticket, usually you ONLY have to go if you're pleading not guilty... just send in the money and you'll be good to go

I'd say the only thing you have to worry about is if he would know if your insurance rate went up over it, if it would at all.

 

Rofl, im going to get caught no matter what! My dad is my insurance agent :P Also depends on how much this thing cost, I have money but not a lot :P

 

Oh man.....that sucks. Maybe you should pay it, and then just tell him about it, and he might not be as mad as he would be if he found out later on his own.

 

Radar is useless against "instant on" radar.... unless you pick him up shooting someone else!

 

i would go to court either way if your dad is gonna find out so that you can ask them to not give you points on your liscense whic will raise your isnurance rate. in pa the citation for this is called a 3111
