Pretty good write up on the SS/SC. Only one mistake I noticed in the article.

"...the charcoal-everything theme on the seats and door panels feels a little drab. A Performance Package solves that with body-colored inserts on Recaro seats, among other goodies, including a Quaife limited-slip differential. "

(Also, what are the other goodies? Those are the only the 2!)

Actually I believe that info is a little outdated. Base price on gmbuypower.com is $20,490 for a SS/SC. What did you pay for your SS? What was your dealer charging for SS/SC's?

 

Yea...good find. The cobalt is a nice car...but It isnt a muscle car...haha...its an import met american made...gotta face it good car

 

the cobalt is 75% american 25%ricer

 

Near Chicago they are going for 21,385 out the door with all the goodies including Power Sunroof & G85 package. Only XM/Onstar are extra. A few mods are needed to make it a little more muscular (250HP).
But, as mentioned by others, it's priced very nicely & is American

yeah the scion if offered witha n optional trd supercharger, anyway i love what they say about the driver seat not moving when it actually does lol

 

i love this car.. and again im stuck between a camaro and an ss/sc, damnit i had my mind set on the camaro

 

There is a blurb in this months' Super Street about a GM Performance-built Cobalt SS/SC doing VERY WELL in the Time Attack. It was 2 mph slower than a full-on chubby equipped Evo 8. What I thought was cool was that John Heinricy was involved. His GM FWD experience goes all the way back to the Chevy Citation X-11 program!

Anyways, everyone was boo-hooing that the Cobalt had the Generals' money behind it and it wasn't an import. Read it in the market if you see it... good for a laugh. The Cobalt goes out and stomps a mudhole in the competitions ass and all they want to do is cry about it...
