to those that have painted their highrise spoilers, did u guys dismantle them first?

I haven't done it, but I would definitely think they would need to be dismantled, as well as the decklid removed from the car. So basically, have the side pieces, top piece, and bottom pieces/decklid all separated. Then, tape the decklid so you don't get overspray when doing the bottom pieces. That's what makes the most sense to me. Taking it completely off the decklid seems like too much of a pain.

its not attatched to my decklid. i picked up a good one for $100 off sum1 here but its just the wrong color. i figured the same, i just didnt want to have to go thru all of that and find out its not neccessary

I had mine painted at a dealer, cant help ya man. I bought it black but had end caps painted yellow. cost 100 bucks
