It does block the rear vision a lot. You will learn you use the side mirrors much more.

personally, i can barely see out the back with the low profile spoiler, so if you are used to that im sure it cant get much worse.

Lots of SS/SC owners (myself included) have gotten rid of the spoiler because of the visibility problems and vibrations at high speed. I suggest you don't get it.

since were on the spoiler subject. wtf does the SS/SC wing actually do if anything besides making it look cooler. does it help hold the back end of the car down and if so at what speeds. is it really just for looks or does it actually help in any way for the daily driver/occasional street race?

i like the spoiler, it does give a look to the car but i am gettin rid of it cuz of the visibility issue, the fact the it shakes, and i think the rk one looks better...

people with the rk spoiler...how do you like it and is it worth gettin and spending the money?

If you're referring to the LS/LT spoiler, then I'd recommend it. I put one on my car and love it. I personally don't have visibility issues with it, and IMO it looks better on our cars than an SS spoiler would.

Can you order the car without the spoiler. Sort of like a spoiler delete option. Of course this is if you order it from the factory.

As for it being functional --- no it is a front wheel drive car and at no speed attainable by the car would you need extra downforce on the rear. As for vibration, I have noticed at 50 to 60 mph it is just flex from air going over and under it, makes me think it is even less functional.

Ok first of all it IS functional. You can always use extra downforce..... If your driving your car at high speeds. It makes your back tires stick to the ground better.

Second..... I have a black SS/SC and was lookign for someone to trade spoilers with. can I see a picture of yours....

is the LT low profile spoiler the same as the SS low profile?

if your not going fast (IE lack of traction isnt the issue thats keeping your speed down (your engine should be)) then all it will do is add to the friction slowing you down.

also, if it wobbles, it isnt forcing air up and your car down...its forcing air up and down, and your car up and down, leaving you with an average of no additional traction.

it all depends on your speed, your traction, and the angle/size of the spoiler
