So I just got back to God's country (Detroit) and my mom is like "Hey your dad got a new car!" So Im like sweet what is it. He gets an 08 SRT8 Chrysler 300. At first i was like boooooooo another traitor (chrysler) and then she throws me the keys. So I jump in it and Im driving down M59 and this Shitstaing with the 5-point-slow in it comes up next to me at the light at Schoenherr. Hes got like the 3 gauge pod in there, exhaust, and Im sure a ton of **** done to the motor cuz it was loud, sounded like he was cammin'. Anyways, Im in this Bently looking car and I give him a rev, he looks over and gives me this look like "WTF are you thinking revving your damn family sedan at me?" The light turns green, the fury that lies under the hood of my car comes to life and absolutely ***** this guy's world up. By the time my car's tires get done spinning welll up into 3rd gear I was about 4 car lengths ahead of him. We stop at the next light and he goes "**** I missed a gear!" and I go "****! Lets run em' again you pansy!!!!" Light turns green, this time he gets a SICK launch and teardrops the **** out of the pavement. Didnt even matter, that HEMI woke the **** up and said "HELLLOOOOOOOOO" with an immediate "GOOODBYE!"

Yeah its like completely unnoticable though. The SRT8 is like maybe .5inches by 2 inches.....pretty tiny

Doubt he was cammed. Not if you were spinning and still 3 cars ahead. Those 300 SRT's are prolly mid to low 13 second cars. Prolly just another loud mustang. Nice kill though!

is funny you say that cause the other day this shelby gt500 2007 was around my house and had ROUSH all on the side door and it was loud and it was sweet cause it was black with gold stripped and nice rims and a m3 spoiler lookin sick

 

I raced my buddy in his truck last night. He's got a 496 big block in it. Smoked that ass, but he'd probably tow me backwards down the street while my tires were spinning. :-)

 

If it's a stock headed 5L with just a cam it's not even going to compete with the SRT8.

I've seen a trickflow H/C 5L package dyno at 280whp

I loved the one srt8 300 we had at the dealerhip I worked at. And I liked the interior. Nothin too flashy, but very comfortable.
