Hey, I was wondering what people think about this one. The other day at a light this guy with a 98 automatic Supra N/A with an exhaust asked if I wanted to run. I didnt run him but its got me wondering what the chances of a stock SS/SC vs him would be. He said he dyno'd at 230hp (not specific it was to the crank or WHP), and he gave me an open invitation anytime to run him since we live in the same area.

What do you guys think? Do I have a remote possibility of getting a kill or getting walked on and raped severely??

 

the non turbo supra's are 15 second cars if i'm remembering correctly, now if its a supra tt your gonna get raped bad because those can run low 13's stock. If its an NA give him a run could make a new friend in the process.

 

N/A Supras arnt very fast, they are very heavy cars, I would say you would have a good chance of beating him, all he has is exhaust? should take him no prob.....

 

if anything i would go from a roll. go form a 2nd gear at like 40 if you dont get him there which you should then you aing gettin him at all but theres one guy by that me that drives an old supra not hooked up at all looks slow never get the cahnce to race though but imo you should take him..

 

Thats what Im hearing, Im gonna run him when I see him. Ill try from the dig and a roll, when I run him Ill post it and let yall know.

i thought they stopped making the supra in 97???? maybe im wrong. but if he is pushing 230 hp, then it should be a pretty good race. i would say that you might have the upper hand because he is an automatic, but ya never know what could happen. let us know how it ends up.!!

3.0 v6 is kinda weak, ive driven one and they have no guts for a v6, you should take him easily
