Ive taken my past vehicles to jiffy lube, but i watch the mechanics every time. But on this car, do it yourself.

This is totally unacceptible, us car guys/gals gotta make a stand for this kind of stuff so other companies are tooo affraid to ever pull this ****. I say we boycott this Jiffy Dupe, this happens tooo much for us not to take action and show Corporations that we are sick of this crap. Those bastards charged them over $400 bucks for nothing!!!

Ok got it to work.
This is why you should alway ask to see your aold parts and you should check up on the progress of your repairs by going out and looking at what they are doing any time you take your car in to have it worked on.

One time I have an oil change shop change my oil but not the filter. Pissed me off! I got my money back and they did it right for free.

I dont let any one work on my car unless Im right there. And if your going to take your car to be fixed you should know enuf about the repair being done to know if its being done right. Or you should have some one that dose know go with you.

I've never used Jiffy Lube, but I know someone who works at one. He knows his **** and wouldn't pull this kind of stunt. I wonder if it was a local thing.

I've never been to a Jiffy Lube before because I feel that any place that treats you like cattle and can do an oil change in 5 minutes has got to be skimping on something.

My best Jiffy lube story comes from college, my gf and I lived in an apartment that had strict rules about changing the oil in their lot so she had to go to Jiffy Lube. She had a CAI on her eclipse and the guy was trying to get to the filter and she was right there watching him and she goes "DO NOT TOUCH MY ******* INTAKE!" lol The guy looked like she was holding a gun to his head. She then proceeded to tell him the filter did not need changed or looked at and she would take care of it if it did.

what's scary, folks, is it's not just Jiffy Lubes that are pulling these scams. Dealerships, service shops, all of them are in on it. It's the easiest way to make money. If unscrupulous people know that you don't know anything about your car, they feast on your ignorance. And you pay, pay, pay.

Any dealership I have ever been to was honest in their repairs everytime. Dealership is pretty much always the best route for any repairs or maintenance unless: A) You do the work yourself or B) The dealership you use is really crappy.

Other than those two circumstances, dealership all the way.
