my story: i'll keep it short.

i worked as a salesman at a chevy dealer at the time of purchase.

i wanted black.. but we had 6 ss s/c's on the lot. i decided to drive all of them, and pick the fastest one. as it turns out. the fastest one was black : but it did not have the recaros like the other black one. at the time i didnt know i was missing out on the lsd.. so i wasn't too worried about the seats. plus, i just like the clean look of a black car with all black interior.
i took it home that night. traded my monte carlo, and signed the papers the next day at work. (i even made a comission on myself.. only $50, cause it was what is known as a "mini deal" i sold it to myself for dealer cost )
end of story.

4 months ago I was drving a 05 GTP COMP G and I decided I didnt want it any more, 2 days later I had a 07 SS/SC in my driveway . That is pretty much exactly how it went. I deciced I didnt want the GTP so I looked at ss/sc's and srt4's. Because the srt4 was no longer made and I wanted a brand new car, I bought the coablt WOO HOO!

had to be around 15 grand. rents wouldn't let me get a car older then 3 years, no more then like 50 thousand miles on it, and worst of all, no manual. My bro said his friend got an LS and he liked it, so i looked into them a little found the right color, and now here i am. I like it a lot, just wish it was manual =(

well this is kind of an interesting story...

i seen pics of the balts before they came out 05 and i like the ss alot, but was in now position to buy a car, already had a 99 tiburon and a 90 camaro. well in november of 05 my friend totaled my tiburon, leaving me with like 2500 dollars and a camaro. so i then decided i wanted to buy a new car, i test drove alot of cars, mazda 3, eclipse, rx-8, solstice and then a cobalt ss/na. i bought the cobalt the day i test drove it, because it was the only car that had the power i wanted along with all of extras i wanted for under 20 grand. only thing i regret is not getting an ss/sc, but when i get the hahn turbo kit i think ill forget all about the ss/sc.

Well I had a misfortunate accident near little creek amphib base. It was a head on collission with the base fence. Well lets just say if you ain't driving a M1-A tank you ain't breaking that thing. Well the police arived, took the report and said that my licence was suspended. So i ended up with a broken car no insurance to cover it and a 1995 kia sephia. Man I love that little thing. I got fed up with it quick tho. And november rolled by and started looking for a cobalt. Their were no SS/SC within a 100 mile radius in my in my home town Passaic New Jersey. The only one I found was a 2006 laser blue show room model. Got it for 19000. I needed to get the car quick because I had to get to work by monday. I'll break down that weekend. I got home on friday, saw the car, and got the loan on saturday (thank god for navy fed), drove home on sunday. Ever since then I've never been happier. Well their is that time I got married , but its a close second. My wife loves my car and always bugs me about what I will do next to it.

Yeah funny thing is that 90% of the time i drive her HHR. The only time I drive it is to go to the car meets on the weekend. I love when both my girls get along, and the look on peoples faces when she smokes them.

Nice, if you already had a cavi then you were already in love with chevy!

Same here I had a brand new accent for 6 months not even 10k on it but I got that after my camaro, did it cause of the commute partially, that didn't work, need power and economy. I had looked at it when they first came through our dealer almost 2 years ago but didn't give it much thought cuase my commute was not so bad then.

^ Yeah there were other factors of course.... But the whole Idea of going to get an oil change and leaving with a new car is funny as hell... When I told my parents they though I was crazy.... Until I took them for a ride of course...
