Hey everyone. So for a while now my Cobalt has being having this high pitched squeak when accelerating or under load (like going up a hill at constant speed and RPM). I first guessed it was a vacuum leak but I replaced all the tubes and nothing. A buddy suggested it was the belt but it is in good shape. I next idea is maybe its the supercharger or a bad pulley. Has anyone had something like this or got any suggestions?

 

If you had the turbo model I would have said that your car wasn't warmed up. Do it sound like it's coming from the SC or the belt or somewhere else?

 

Where does it sound like the noise is coming from?
Have you ever changed the SC oil?
