i didn't know Dom lived in toronto and drove a white civic. crazy. i have to say, it is by far the gheyest show ever. i would be pissed if i lived in toronto.

It was OK....really makes street racers seem like they dont really know jack crap about cars....or at least, the ones in that show were definately part of the "I am not mechanically inclined" group.

I want my 1hr back. I also found it funny that the guy had access to his own shop, dyno tuning, a 'pit crew' and all his cars broke. He talked so much smack, laughing at the guy in the white Civic running a 12.1 and he ran what... a 14.5?

Other than that guy's 3 Mazda's I don't think I saw anything other than Honda's racing, except for the nice Supra that was pulled over on the side of the road leaving Darknights. "The Fast and the Furious" was a better street racing documentary than that crap.

 

I missed it! Damnit! I wanted to watch it too! That is ok tho... I have a good friend that taped it. ^_~ you know who you are.

 

Didn't get to see it, but by the reviews it reminds me of a few years back when MTV had "Real Life: I'm a street racer." They followed some kid around in a RHD civic w/ a B18 (if I am remembering correctly). Showed the whole "racing scene" by thid kid...but forgot what area it was.

Sadly (at least from my experience), this is generally what the "street racing scene" turns out to be. Usually its a bunch of dumb ass kids with cars they think are fast and one or two cars that really are fast. The guys who race their cars on the streets as a hobby usually don't know ****. The guys who are serious about cars and know what they are doing usually go to the track and race and tune their cars. It's one thing to have some ass pull up next to you and want to race, but quite another to go to a street racing spot and race for money, respect, etc. It's all just a bunch of teen identification bullshit. Just my opinion.

 

HAHAHA I was thinking the same thing. That other guy that wanted to challenge Dom so bad was annoying. I don't think he had a clue. I loved how he kept going on about wanting to race the guy who ran a 12.1 and then he clicked off an impressive 14.6 and he still wouldn't shut up about how he could beat the Civic. Did he think he was going to get one hell of a tail wind or somthing?

Also, the guy with the white civic claimed to have $60,000 in that civic and he couldn't go faster than a 12.1, pretty pathetic or he is full of ****.

 

Maybe that is the total of the 84 month loan at 24.9% interest he got at the user car lot...

 

Yeah..I just about spit out my supper when he said he had 60K in that car. For 60K, I could take a stock 94 civic and run the 1/4 mile at 7 secs all day long and still have cash to spare.

To add insult to injury, the ******* with the RX-7 looked like he was lost (see how he was staring blankly at the laptop) whlie they had that car on the dyno. Then the engine pops and he says "Too much fuel!" WHAT?? I can see if you leaned it out...but if you added so much fuel that you washd the oil coatings off of the rotor and apex seals and siezed the engine, you would have flames pouring out the f'in exhaust pipe from all the excess fuel being dumped out the port. If that is the case...I hope this guy does the smart thing and simply forget that cars exist, go to the local gas station, and get a career sweeping the parking lot.

I saw it... and yes I know one kid like him. It's kinda sad when that civic was supposively the fastest thing around. Those cars were pathetic from what I saw. For all the cash he put into that car, it should be running 7's (thank you who ever said that before me).

 

Too bad they street race, they probably don't go to the track that often... there is a guy in Ontario that has a 2.2 Turbo Dodge Rampage that runs low 10s... FWD still too. I'm sure the jaws would drop if they saw that.

why did they do it in canada??? i dont have anything agenst canada just wondering why they picked there for there show....thats the only smart thing i could think of after waching that show.
