Stuck on which car to choose

Well it is time to get a new car and i am undecided what to get...

My top choices are

07 Cobalt SS/SC
05 Dodge SRT4
07 Mitsu Eclipse GT

Can someone give me some cons and pros of my choices

and in order which ones they would choose.

thanks

Okay... throw the Eclipse GT off of the list... the car is severely overpriced and absolutely huge... not to mention the 3.8L V6 drinks the gas.

Have you considered a WRX? You should be able to get a good deal on one with the new body style coming out in a few months. The dealers will be wanting rid of the older models in their inventory.

Ugly or not... they perform quite well.

Have you considered waiting a few months and picking up a new HHR SS when they come out? Not to say the SS/SC isn't the ****... but there are other options out there now.

Either the srt4 or the SS/SC is a great choice. If you want a big warrenty get the SS/SC. If they made srt4 neons in 2007 I would have on in my garage as opposed to a SS/SC. I love my cobalt but I would have gotten a SRT4 had they still made them new!

I would have to agree with the guy above and throw out the Eclipse. If your looking to go fast, have fun driving, and good gas mileage then go with the SS/SC. If your looking to make huge numbers (over 300whp), then go with the SRT4, but then again is it used? If so, go with the SS/SC.

well the srt4 can be made faster easier, stock for stock the ss/sc and srt4 are close

but imo the srt4 looks like ass, where the ss/sc looks better

If you are looking for best bang for your dollar, the SRT-4 is the way to go. If you hate 4 door cars like I do, the choice is obvious. Which leaves you with the SS/SC because you said fuel mileage is a concern. Like was said before, the Eclipse should be tossed off your list!

also the ss/sc handles better from what i understand
the srt4 has power front windows and manual rear
the srt4 has a stronger drivetrain, where as the ss/sc's is more prone to break
the ss/sc will cost more

New car or used car is probably a decision you should make before you go through the list of what car to get. See what you can afford first... check on financing and etc.

Honestly if the SRT-4 had still been in production when I was looking... I would have had one instead of the SS/SC.

I was looking for a new car, not a used one... so that limited my choices and knocked the SRT off the list.

yeah it sucks that they stopped making the srt4..

okay so now its pretty much between the srt and balt

I would much rather have a new car and i can afford a new balt ss/sc but i love how a Black SRT looks with eyelids and lowered.

how are the gas mileage's compared between the two?

For gas mileage, the Cobalt is the best. I don't think it's a huge difference but if I remember correctly, the Balt is about 30 highway and the Neon does about 28. Stock.

Srt-4=5.6, Ss/sc=6.0. In the end this is up to the driver. Thoose numbers are with capable drivers!

I would stick with the ss/sc, the neons have a shitty ass paint job that starts to peel after a few years. At least thats what I have seen up here.

Mazdaspeed 3?

If it existed in July 06, I would not own the balt. I have test driven one and it is amazing with much better construction. There is not a single thing that the MS3 doesn't do better than the balt.

**waits for the "OMG, hatches are soooo ugly...blah, blah, blah**

srt-4=uglier than WRX x10 haha and if you crash then you=dead

mitsu eclipse= overpriced, overweight, and... over.. bad gas mileage.... its basically like an old obese man

cobalt=super hot, great gas mileage, lighter, safe, warrenty, fun to drive, and many products are in development for speed

i had both the srt and cobalt...

srt4-invest 4 grand and u got a 11 sec street driven car on stock internals(560whp capable)
cobalt-300hp and internals WILL break...

the srt IS NOT a car for curves...its only made for 1 thing and thats goin fast in a straight line..i had almost every suspension mod avaible for the car and the ass still swinged everytime u exit or enter a corner real hard...

and for the guy that said cobalt lighter than the neon...go double check that...neon is about 300lbs lighter than the balt...3800lbs vs 3500lbs
