I always wonder about these free oil changes. Are you sure they aren't factored into the price somewhere? My dealer wanted to sell me a $79 "maintenance package" that included free oil changes, but I don't remember for how long. I wasn't interested, since I figure I save a ton of time doing it myself. But after reading some of those posts in the monthly payments thread, I think maybe some people are really paying for the "free" oil changes without realizing it.

I never read the manual, But I was just planing on changing the oil about every 3-4K. I've had the car about 2 months, and I'm on about 3,200m and my oil like sez 51%, But I think I'm gunna change it next weekend anyway. Just to make myslef feel better about it.!

When I ordered the car, I negotiated the final price. I then negotiated my trade in value......which was $500 low, so I made the proposal concerning oil changes as a deal breaker.
I think I came out ahead in the end.
