superchargers for the 2.2L?

when are they coming out..i searched and found a thread with this link
http://www.crateenginedepot.com/stor...c=cobaltss.net

its under cobalt but it still says sunfire/cavalier s/c....sowhich one is it...and about how much will installation be from a dealer? i heard like 1k...why so much...i could get a turbo for half the price of the s/c and have it installed and it be the price of just the s/c alone if it is 1k..that sound rediculous..

A good turbo set up will be a lot more than $1k.. a turbo kit and the sc kit will probably be similar in price.

The decision will probably come down to personal prefrence.

for $-per-HP i think you will see better gains in the 2.2/L61, but i would not run too much boost in using eather till you drop the compression ration from 10 to atleast 8.5. I myself am going to look into the garrett kit when it comes out, because the gm super dosent have the ability to be intercooled so high bost no intercooler and even premium gass equals knocking! or worse

Not nessasarly (spelling?)

Althought it's true a lower comp ratio would be better, you can still run pretty high boost on the SC and keep the high stock comp.

A simple alchohol injection kit would benefit you a lot. Knocking won't always occur just because you're running high boost on a non-intercooled SC. There are ways to avoid that.
