tax title and registration fees total up to about how much on a 21,000 dollar car?

i know state by state it differs, but i just want a ball park.

dude, what's the WI state sales tax? multiply that by 21000. Then tax and title is like, 200 or something.

 

yep knew the 5% tax part but...didnt know how much title and reg were...

We got it good here in SD. State sales tax is 6%, but the auto tax is a 3% excise tax. Another good thing is SD is a reciprocal state of PA so when I move back to PA sometime down the road I get credit for the tax I payed on the car here in SD.

 

Frick, we had 6% in NJ, and I didn't get my car. Now I'm getting a 2007 and the sales tax was raised to 7%. That's an extra 150 on my car. :-(

 

My sales tax + licensing + whatever else B.S. they threw in came to around $1600 in the end. I hated to pay it, because that could have been quite a few mods, but I guess there is no choice. Heck as much as it costed, I added it to my mods list.

 

8.75% in cali talk about getting raped in the ass. Registration fees are high too.

 

8.1% in Az. But I only paid $35 for title and license fees!!

 

Pretty sure sales tax in Wisconsin is 5% give or take depending on what city. I know Green Bay is like a half % higher for the Packer stadium or something like that could be wrong

 

in texas its 8.25, not quite as bad as cali. ttl was around 1300 for me.
