Minors should be required to have cell phone blocking devices. Since obviously laws, parents, psa's, common sense, aren't getting the job done.

When a local kid was killed in a texting and driving accident they found his phone in the car and checked his phone records and the timing etc. And ended up ruling the accident occurred because he was texting. It is still legal in OK to text and drive bu November 1st a law comes into effect where texting and driving will fall under wreckless driving..
On another note I do text and drive... A lot... Not as much in my Balt because it's a stick but definitely in the TA auto means free hand lol

 

In Ontario Canada its a HUGE fine if you're caught even talking on the cell while driving... let alone Texting... Almost half the people that have almost hit me or that I've seen blow stop signs..were on there cells

The NC law actually includes texting, email, internet, and camera use. And hell, get an android phone, speech to text ftw.

 

Texting time line matched that of the wreck according to the investigation. Only two good things to come of this was that she was alone and hit the guardrail (post, and not someone else) and that her parents are making it a point to share the carnage with others in hopes it 'gets through' to others- ballsy and gut wrenching I'm sure.

It's not hard to check a time line. All they have to do is find out the approx. time of the accident and check phone records. If the records show sending and receiving of messages at the time of the accident then they'll rule it as a texting and driving. Routine crash investigation.

as it should be in all states. I'm not gonna lie though, I text while I drive, but refrain from doing so as much as possible. I pull over if I need to text someone if possible, or just wait until I'm done driving. It should be just as much of a crime to text while driving as it is drinking and driving.

 

routine crash investigations are bullshit i was making a u turn and a crazy Indian woman comes up her in Acura suv and smashes into the side of me, she actually sped up and tried to pass me. Guess who ended up getting the shaft and thats all i gotta say about that
