Hey y'all. I recently replaced my water pump which involved removal of the thermostat housing on my l61. I ran out of daylight before finishing. Unfortunately I set the bolts aside and they were thrown out.

Anyone know the size of the thermostat housing bolts?

2 - 6mmx20mm
1 - 6mmx60mm

Both are a 1.0 thread pitch

@5-Speed you're a lifesaver. In the future, where can I find this information for myself? My repair manual doesn't have it, nor could I find it through a Google search.

No problem! And thats a good question... I have been dealing with these engines long enough to know off the top of my head. The easiest thing to do would be to measure the housing in MM and then add on about another 15mm so you have some threads sticking out. Everything is metric on these engines.

6mm bolts are 1.0 thread pitch
8mm bolts are 1.25 thread pitch
10mm bolts are 1.5 thread pitch
12mm bolts are 1.75 thread pitch

If you know that much, all you need to do is measure to get the correct length.
