Hey guys,

I may get flamed for this, but I can't stand to post on these forums any longer because of how slow they are! Is this site slow for anyone else? I have tested it at three different locations and it has been very slow. I attempted to ping the server, but it does not accept ping requests. I'm not sure what my latency is to the server, but it seems really slow. Sometimes it completely crashes and I get a "Server too Busy" message. Any suggestions? I want to continue posting here, but it's just too slow.

i get that too but maybe its because of my mexican connection lol

 

sometimes its slow and doesnt work at all. but most of the time it works fine for me.

 

I'm really frustrated. I hate to complain so much, but I can hardly use this forum from 3 PM on. I'm bummed.

 

Ya i blows but they have been working on it. More people should go premium if they want it fixed faster.

 

unfortunetly people dont want to pay for a site they cant use. i know they are working on it, but it seems like nothing is changing. i know this is a busy site, would be nice if premium members had priority but i dont think thats possible with this forum software.

 

No but the more premium members, the more money the site has to get better server services...

But, that being said I'm not a premium either. I used to be but stopped coming to the site nearly as much.

yeah id say the same. sometimes its pretty quick. i think its getting better.

Most people have dropped the premi membership because the cost is supposed to go towards server expenses but yet the server has gotten progressively worse.

They've been "working on it" for like 4 years now, don't hold your breath.

I get at least one database error a day in addition to the slower-than-dialup speed.

 

I wish there was a way to view the traffic to the forums over the past 6 months. I have a feeling it may be "getting better" because the traffic is slowly diminishing. People don't want to wait on pages to load for nearly 60 seconds. I have hosted a few high volume websites and it does not cost too much money to keep them running smooth. I guess that is part of the reason I am so frustrated here! Anyway, I hope this changes soon. If it does, I have no problem being a premium member. I like this place. I tried to get on last night at about 8:00 PM PST and I could not load any page past the front page. I tried again 30 minutes later and I had no luck.

 

sometimes it goes fast for me while other times im like "screw it". It doesnt help when you're trying to sell stuff and it takes like 4 hours to get back to the guy who wants to buy something from you.
