No upgrades for me...Ima keep it natural. Besides, it will only be driven on weekends (I have a work vehicle).

I have a loaded 09 SS coupe with 22k miles if you are interested Never driven in the winter/snow/salt and barely in rain.

I don't understand why people hate on the RPD it is an incredible gauge. It gives you fuel pressure, coolant temp and air temp along with whatever menu you prefer to watch. It actually recently helped me figure out why my car was ******* on me all the time.

RPD is incredible but not exactly a must have though its worth every penny.
LSD is certainly a nice incentive to have but I don't have it and I'm doing fairly well.
Take a good look throughout the car! Check to see if theres any dents, curb rash on the rims, any random ass wires going weird places (It happened to me!) look under the hood to see if it was modded etc just basic stuff.

I don't have LSD, but I do live in new england and the weather here is insane especially the snow in the winter. I'm not saying from a track car perspective, just that its a nice feature.

I have the RPD and I most definitely love it and think its the best addition to the car.

whats up guys im alsovlooking into a cobalt. im looking at a 07 ss coupe, is there anything i should keep an eye out for, i know my old z24 the door hinges would give out very easily, and sag over time, shitty hinges, you know the little quirks to look out for. i know from all the years i had with my z24, if the cobalts are anything like they were, i cant wait to get out of my R/T for one, thanks for any input guys.

well the OP is looking at a Turbo ss, and you are looking at Supercharged one. Pretty different drivetrain and a few part wise. The engine in the LSJ is solid, but the SC blades can start touching and making noise (not common), the puck and gear lube in the SC needs to be changed out. Common issues? mmm I haven't owned one but my bff does, the issues seem to really be bad modding or suspension. Some have shift linkage issues from a stupid plastic clip. I would take it to a auto shop and have a mechanic give it a once over, cost like $100 but could save you thousands.

There are plenty of options besides the RPD, but having the RPD come stock with the car is pretty cool don't have to invest a bunch of money in things to see what you can see with it. If you don't end up getting one with the RPD don't waste your time/money trying to install one just get the substitutes listed above.

Dashawk is probably the most economical choice, and has some pretty neat stuff.

I finally had some time to see what my new toy can do...all I can say is WOW! The ride is a tad bit rough coming from my Mercury Marauder, but the handling and acceleration more than make up for it.

i blue booked it an they say 11 in exellent condition, but 9g's for a stage 2 06 sweet deal, im kinda just in a real crunch, trying to get rid of my 02 dakota r/t for a decent trade in price, only has 79k, ton of upgrades, and add ons and all i get is low ball offers, and get into a cobalt ss, and there's just nothing really around here in central texas, that hasnt been beat up or loaded with high miles.

That car is way over priced and becareful someone has modded it and it has an e85 flexfuel badge on it, NO COBALT EVER CAME STOCK WITH E85 TUNE, so either its got an aftermarket tune or someone was being a ricer and just put on the badge. Id pass this care up, but if you do consider it you best have a tuner check the tune and see if its stock tuned or tuned for 93 or e85 gas.

yeah im really considering passing it up, these cars are just so hard to find that are in good shape. they giving me a hard time with the financing, but theyve given me the best price so far on my R/T.
