those with a dashhawk
According to several Dashhawk Forum articles, the device can not be used on an SS/SC:
Same goes for Ion Redlines too ...
The SS/SC motor is using the older computer and the other 2 models use the new system.
The SC cars do not have the newer E67 PCM (yet) and does NOT have CAN ...

Yeah, I know.
Sorry ...
I searched the DashHawk Forums, and that's a negatory on the LNF.
For 2008 though, ALL cars are supposed to be CAN compliant.

Has anyone done dragstrip testing of the DashHawk?
I mean running the DashHawk at the track and comparing them against the dragstrip's professional timing lights.
Also, when the Caliber SRT-4 came out, I remember the testers saying that the CSRT-4 had a performance timer built into the car's computer.
Problem is though, they said the car's computer does not cycle information fast enough to provide accurate performance numbers (they were laughing at what the CSRT-4's performance read out was showing).
Now if the DashHawk also relies on the car's computer, wouldn't the same problem exist there as well?

Some people claim that their on board PCm's performance timer is inaccurate, but others claim it's within a 1/10" and 1mph of what they got while racing on the dragstrip.
So maybe there IS some validity to the DashHawk afterall ...
If not, they were way off.
(btw, the DashHawk is different from the other testing devices in that it connects to the vehicle's on board diagnostic port, whereas the other meters are gyroscope driven)
If I had a flat stretch of quiet road where I lived, I'd get one.
But I don't.
Yes it will work on your 2008 cause all 2008+ cars are CAN compliant.
you can get it to tell you pretty much all the information the car's computer can tell.
A/F yes, you can get intake temp, oil temp, outside temp, coolant temp, there are a lot more options i.e. exhaust temps but I don't know if the car tells you that, i know you can get manifold temps..
you can't tune anything with it, but you can use it to trigger the fans, to do a crank relearn and such things.

NO tuning. Just monitoring. You can add a Wideband adapter i belive. If you go to dashhawk.com it'll show you everything about it. they even have a small forum with discussions and beta updates.
