for those of you who want to try out silverstar ultra's

you can get a pair of siverstar ultra's for 20 bucks (after rebates) pepboys has a 20 dollars off rebate. the link for the pep boys rebate is http://www.web-rebates.com/pepboys/ and then scroll down to Offer: PBA-080101—Pep Boys January 2008 Rebates
Dates: January 6, 2008 - February 2, 2008 and then click it and you download a pdf file which you fill out and send to them. and then go to sylvania's website and print out their rebate. the link is http://www.sylvania.com/ConsumerProd...es/default.htm and then scroll down and you will see the link for the silverstar ultras. the rebate is 10 dollars.. i just figured i would be nice and let everyone know. my luminics took a **** on me and both my lows blew out and one of my highs lol so the only thing that works is my passenger high beam.. stay away from luminics.

Most people have had the same issue with Silverstars. I had them in my Cavy and they lasted 3 months. My friend had them in her Accord and she got 8 months out of hers, but that's the longest I've ever *personally* seen anyone get out of them. If they were cheaper to match their lifespan, I'd get em, but even at $20 I doubt I'd pick them up. Now I just stick with OEM replacements.

Thanks for the post, I might pick them up in the next few days.

Btw, alleycat, I had silverstars in my old Ford ZX2 (biggest pos ever btw) and they lasted me over a year (were still good as of the trade in for the ss/sc). Just luck of the draw I guess
