Throttle Position Sensor Codes When Raining
Throttle Position Sensor Codes When Raining
So every time it rains decently hard and there's a lot of water on the road my 2007 Cobalt SS/SC gets 3 codes that put me in limp mode, they are P0641, P2135, and P2138. All throttle position sensor codes, I'll clear them with HPTuners on the road and go a few miles or sometimes the whole drive before it does it again. The thing is I don't notice any performance issues, throttle lag, etc. I'm thinking about just disabling those codes with HPTuners because I don't see why I should buy a new throttle assembly when there isn't anything actually wrong with mine. Anyone have any thoughts? I would really appreciate some insight. Thank you.
Sincerely,
Caleb

Look at the wiring/plugs by the TB, pedal, and pcm. Dropping 5v ref voltage, while the TB can be a cause so can broken/chaffed wiring in those areas.
Just info poking around site quick, haven't personally had to deal with or track this down on this platform myself.

Having the exact same issue, every time the code comes up it reduces engine power but as soon as I clear the codes it runs just fine. I have a brand new throttle body from summit with no more than 1k miles on it. About to go clean it and check the sensors, but it shouldnt be anything with the actual throttle body. Its most likely either the throttle position or the pedal position sensor. Ill lyk if I figure it out 100% or find a fix

I turbo swapped mine so that wouldnt affect the TPS lol, I have a warranty throttle body coming in the condition that it is the TPS because supposedly you cant fix the sensor and you have to replace the whole throttle body

It did it twice this morning, I put dielectric grease on the connector in case it was just getting wet. Its pouring out and it hasnt done it since

Disabling fault codes using the HPTuners program is not recommended as it does not fix the underlying problem. While it may temporarily prevent the vehicle from going into Limp mode, it may cause more serious problems or hide a more serious problem. Earlier I asked how you don't burn out on the job. You told me that you can play games. Here I am finding information about https://casinosanalyzer.com/online-casinos/jeton Jeton online casinos and I'm thinking of choosing something. What advice can you give to a newcomer to casinos? The throttle position sensor is a critical component for proper engine operation and safety, so it's best to make sure it's working properly rather than bypassing or disabling warning codes. Fixing the problem at the source will help keep your vehicle healthy in the long run and avoid potential safety risks.
