Time for a new car... 06 Cobalt SS S/C?

Well... I'm gettin rid of my POS Camaro of 7 months.
Long story short, it's falling apart and I help take care of my grandmother and it's too low for her to keep getting into and she says if I get a new car she will help me out a lot.
She says it HAS TO be NEW.

At first, I was considering a regular Civic EX for around $20k for the nicer interior and gas milage, but I can't give up the sports car...

So I THOUGHT about the Civic SI. According to Cars.com, it's 0-60 in about 6.7 seconds.

Then my friend told me about the Acura RSX Type S. That's too much for me, but since we went to the dealer and found an 05 CERTIFIED USED RSX Type S with 9k miles for $22k. My grandma said since it's CERTIFED USED and comes with a better warranty than it had originally it's all good. It's Jade Green (looks like a dark beige/gray sometimes) with a Tan interior. Not exactly what I wanted but still kinda classy. I found one source that said it's 0-60 in 6.1 seconds and they guy at the dealership said around 6. And I don't know if this is a plus or minus but there will be NO 2007 RSXes

Then I realized I should stop thinking only foreign cars and take a look at what we have here. The Cobalt SS S/C. I like them a lot and I wanted one for a while. But the other two come stock 6spd and I like that. But I've heard so many good things. The only thing I don't like is how damn common they are in my city. Not the SS ones, but the other ones, it's rediculous sometimes. According to Cars.com the Cobalt SS S/C is 0-60 in 6.67 seconds.

BUT I do want to be fast, and if somehow the RSX doesn't work out, what do I go with, the reputation of a Civic SI, or what my friend likes to call the domestic version of the Civic SIs, the Cobalt SS S/C? Or am I making a mistake by choosing the RSX?

And is it true, stock, the RSX Type S is faster then the Cobalt SS S/C? I saw a Forum Topic on Clubrsx.com where one person was asking how to beat a Cobalt SS S/C.
So which really is faster?

Please anyone with Cobalt vs. RSX info post.

Wow man... you just missed the 0% financing. Too bad. SS/SC at 0% is only like $320 a month.

Well, Just make sure whatever you get, she can get into and out of easily, since she's offering to help you out so much.

Ceah, that's the biggest part, even more than something fast. She sat in the RSX she said she liked it.

If she liked the RSX, I'd go for that one then, It's a little bit more luxurious than either the SI or the SS/SC.

I don't wanna be a jerk but I personaly hate Saturn. And no, I haven't checked out the Saturn Sky Redline and I know nothing about it, just the fact that it's Saturn bothers me.

Honestly I think what ever car you choose you will be happy. The two Honda products are proven reliable and reasonably quick. The Chevy is a nice car for sure and in my opinion is a bit more roomier then the other two. I say whatever you do, do it with confidence and don't look back. Good luck.
