tire air pressure???
tire air pressure???
i know this was talked about before, forgive me, i cant find it, but...
i just checked my tires and i got 4 diff pressures from 34 to 44 psi. what is the best pressure for these tires (pzero stock SS/SC) for spirited and normal driving?? the tires where also cold, had not been driven on, so the pressures where cold. thanks for all input.

Check the inside of the driver side door well, there is a sticker that tells you normal inflation pressure. If you look in the owners manual it specifically states to add about 3 psi for extended periods of high speed driving. I forget the exact figures but I think the normal pressure is 32psi.

Always follow the manufacturer recommended pressures inside the door, they take into account the mass of the vehicle and it's handling charateristics. Some vehicles even have different pressures for front and rear for vehicles with very uneven weight distribution.
The pressure rating on the sidewall of the tire is the tire manufacturer's maximum recommended inflation pressure rating and is not normally the car manufacturers recommendation.
By exceeding the manufacturers recommendations you will probably find that the center of your tires will wear out faster than the outter sections. This happens because the mass of the vehicle is such that the center of the tire is bulging out. Because of this you are actually reducing the effective traction of the tire by reducing the contact area with the road.

Inflating them past 32 psi (rec. spec) and you're asking for a blown tire or severely bad wear. You've been warned lol. I keep em at 32 psi for daily driving and drop em to 25 psi at the strip
