tire choice

does anyone run toyo proxies?

I was looking at a few and the R888 looks insane awesome except the 100 treadwear might not be a fan favourite.

Besides star specs and R-11's I am very interested on what people have and what you think of them

thanks.

Anyone use a Continental Extreme Contact DW
or
Potenza RE760's?

I don't need something as hardcore as the RE-11's...im gonna burn a set off every summer anyways.

No need to get 100 treadwear tires on a GMS1 Cobalt for the street. That's a track tire. If you want gripgo with NT05's although that's still probably overkill. When you say you'll "burn off a set every summer" are you talking the drag strip? I don't know how many miles you drive but I made NT01's last 6,000 miles including a couple (road) track days.
Also, notice you're in Ontario. Can I assume you have either snow tires or a winter beater?

When I bought my Cobalt it had Bridgestone Potenza RE760. Excellent tires! The best I've had the chance to try so far. If they were cheaper I would of bought them instead of my Nitto NT555.

I have a daily, the car will be driven 1 to 2 days per weeks, looking for mostly dry performance..rarely wet ( 1 or 2 days per week ) not super loud road noise, mostly performance but not excessive driving no autocross, dragstrip maybe once per year. stiff sidewallsis a plus.

I sold the Cobalt now have a terminator. it has cheapies on it right now that I am going to enjoy burning them right off to replace with better tires.

I was thinking these

Continental Extreme Contact DW
or
Potenza RE760's?

$150 or less per tire is where I want to be. 275/40/17's thanks guys

thanks in advance..looking for opinions good and bad...not just I have these tires and they are the best..that doesn't help much
