I'm currently running Kumho Ecsta ASX's, but they're just about to retire. Looking into Goodyear F1's.

 

right now i have like $50 federal pieces of ****. super steel something or other.

next spring i plan on purchasing some BFGoodrich g-Force T/A KDW 2

 

Whatever it cheap an good.

Case in point, I got my BFGs for $200 with 800 miles on them.

 

I put Yokohamas on lots of customer/family cars. I personally really like COntis too.

 

I have Goodyear Eagle GTs on mine and I've been impressed so far. Today was slicker then snot (rain + melting snow followed by freezing overnight temps) but they held pretty dang well. Even in actual snow last week I was pleasantly surprised.

These tires I'm getting, are going on the stock rims for winter mode. 215/45/18's. I can get the F1's mounted/balanced all for $150 a tire.

I'm going through a local shop, I won't deal with national chains.

 

with the proxies they have both 215/15/18 and 225/40/18.. they ran out of the 225's so i kept to the stock size.

 

Kept mine stock sized.

 

heard good things about the Dunlop Direzza Star Spec, it's what i'll be running on my RPF1's.

 

Installed 225/40/18 Eagle GT's a week ago.
