took my cobalt to get gas
I remember last fall when I first got the Cobalt. I pulled into the gas station; on the other side of the pump was a Ford F250. The guy was already pumping gas when I arrived. I filled-up the car from 1/4 tank, put the cap back on, got my receipt, and got back in the car- and the F250 driver was STILL pumping gas!! I don't miss those days either...
Hell, my SS/SC costs me about 31-33 to fill up at 3.09 for premium. I was paying almost that to fill up my neon more often than this too. I can go the entire work week without filling up, before I had to put some in on day 4. This is driving about 50-60 miles a day BTW.
Damn, this is a good forum. I swear if this was posted anywhere else, some jackass would cry about wasting a thread. BTW I thought gas was cheaper when you keep heading north with exceptions of major cities?
premium is as low as 3.04 here in GA. well, thats just my area. it only cost about 30 to fill me up, and thats every one and half weeks. and i drive it pretty hard, but im still getting 27-28 miles to the gallon.

Gas in here in the western part of Illinois is at 3.29 for premium. I average about 30$ a week in gas but I have a gas allowance at work of 50$ a week. So I get to pocket the extra 20$.
Funny little gas station story. I was filling up my Cobalt the other day and I was talking with this lady who was filling up her explorer. She commented on how it must stink to have to use premium and I said "not as bad as filling up an SUV that gets 18mpg." I just smiled and she didn't say another word. My final total was 28$, hers was 50$.

yeah thats propane. yeah it lacks the tinyest bit of power, but being about to pull buddie's 1 tonne ford out of a mudding pit proves that i made the wiser choice to go from gas to propane.
