I have seen so many stories on here about totaled cobalt SC's. I know it's kinda weird, can we get a # on how many SC's are gone? and what model year SC it was.

2005 production was something like 3084
- ______totaled SC's =______remaining

2006 production #'s will be released in nov/dec
(rumored 2X 2005 production = 6168 roughly?)


let's get a list going and keep track of our breed!
please list model year/ color and a name of some sort so we don't duplicate the list.
just facts, no hearsay..

also, my sympathies go out to any one hurt or gone due to the accidents!

i don't think anyone that has totaled a bale it here anymore. they left the forum when they totaled the car.

No I didn't get another one. I thought about it for a long time, I thought about getting an SRT-4 Too, (my second choice), but recently was smacked with a reckless driving (I got rearended and they say *I* was reckless... ). So, after some long thought, I've narrowed it down to two vehicles; Fiero GT with a 3800 S/C engine swap, or an BMW E30 3-series with an E36 M3 engine swap.

They should have a whole section dedicated to wrecks, deer slaying, and complete totales.

Keeping track here in a web board would be inefficient. I have to believe there is a vehicle title registry or database showing all the VIN's of all the cars and their current state. Anybody here work for a title company that can help with some direction.

 

if anyone is close to a wrecked one with good condition SS n/a or SC front fascia, rocker panels, or rear bumper please let me know!

also usually if the car is totalled insurance company pays them and the junk yard takes it not like they can sell you the parts. thats what happened to my buddies 06 acura tl. insurance paid him and it was there property to deal with he was thinking about getting the stereo out of it but he got paid for it. the junk yard scraped everything

 

Mine was wrecked and ressurected, but it wasnt an SS

 

Lost my baby on Sept. 14, 2006. Slid over a curb in the rain and clipped a lightpost with the tail. Frame was twisted, and insurance decided it was a write-off.

It was a 2006 Cobalt SS/SC with sunroof, side-curtain airbags, G85 Performance Package (Recaros & LSD).

It will be sorely missed.
