Advans are much better than the Pirellis. BFG KDWs are great as well, and probably cheaper than both of those.

Traction will only get better with tires. Tourqe braces, poly mounts and such will limit wheelhop and firm up the drivetrain, but won't stop wheelspin.

Tires make a huge difference and are usually the first step. In what environment do you want to enhance traction? Drag racing? Get something like the BF Goodrich T/A Drag Radial. AutoX and daily summer driving, the Bridgestone RE-01R is amazingly civil while being quite fast. Dedicated track or AutoX; get an R-compound of the appropriate temperature range. Winter dedicated: I love my Nokian Hakka 2's though their WR's are surprisingly good all-seasons. Snow tires will often out-stop all-seasons by 30% in extreme conditions and out accelerate them be the same margin. It's all about the grip.
What do you need these tires to do for you?
Are you having traction issues on loose surfaces like gravel? A limited slip differential makes a world of difference.

Sorry I didn't think to post this earlier, here is a link to Tirerack's review of their top 4 non-R compound extreme performance tires with test results:

hope this helps.
