Trading the Cobalt...

Even though I just got my balt im honestly not happy with it in terms of problems and performance. So anyway I was curious what you got out of your balt if you took yours to the dealership? I know it will be a wide range but im hoping they give me a little more because i was actually thinking about going for the turbocharged cobalt...or gto or hell even g8

8 yo 10 grand don't expect a lot I should know if the dealer I work for offered me 8800 for it and I got it for 16 k last year.... 1.because of the economy and 2. Its a cobalt. I'm keeping mine since I would be wayyyy upside doen on it. But best of luck to you

what you got?

I only paid 12,500 for it in the first place. It's a 2007 cobalt ss/sc with 42k miles on it. Im going to fix the scratches and replace the clutch before going in there.

I'm assuming that dealers don't like modded cars. Or at least they won't give you big monies for them.. You're likely better off swapping your parts for stock if you're gonna try to trade it in..

Wwell its not like i got a lot. only mods i do have is an intake, torque damper and springs and tbh the springs wouldn't be worth the time to take them out to put my stock ones back in.

Well I've deciding to give a few dealership's a call tomorrow after I get off work to see what type of deal they can set me up if I was to trade my 07 cobalt ss/sc for the cobalt ss/tc.

What color should I go with?
SRTC or Silver?

Tincoat red.
I got 9500 in april for my 06 SS/SC with 28K on it . It was in great shape. Bastages put it out for 14.9K and sold it 6 weeks later. I'm unsure what they sold it for .

Well I hop I get more than 9500 for mine. If that's the case I will keep it. I still owe around 11k for mine.

I've actually been thinking since Im just got a second job which now had doubled my monthly income I figured I would pay off my remaining credit cards($1500) Then start saving up enough to make around a 4 to 5k down payment for a cheap ss/tc for around 18k. If they give me 10k for mine I will need to come up with another 2 k to keep me from being upside down. Were you upside down on yours when you traded.

Hell I would keep my car if I could just get my bumper figured out, bother bumpers repainted and paint correction....oh and the clutch, fuel system.

I'm looking for a truck, been to different dealers, offered anywhere from $3,000 up to $7800. Mine is in my sig, with 86,400 km's.

Fuel System Probs, Clutch, Bumper Probs, Bumper Damage(Hit&Run), CEL.

Im just a guy that has to have his stuff right including looks. Especially when I look at these new ss/tc and look at mine(bumper/headlights) and noticed how good their looks and mine looks like a$$

My cel code is a too lean error which I heard was a maf problem but I've clean it and so far nothing has changed and I have an evap which my dealership wouldn't cover since they said the drivetrain does not include the fuel
system.

Every time I fill up my car on the first start up at the gas station after filling up it sputters like it doesn't want to start and I got to push in the gas a little to keep it going and after that its fine. It used to do the same on a cold start but not any more.

really i think its just because im pissed at the car. Within one month all of this stuff has happened and last night the shift boot tabs broke off and so it won't stay down so I may have to super clue it to the chrome piece. Its like once I found out the car has been wrecked everything went to crap.

Yeah i was upside down a grand but i got a ridiculous deal on my SS/TC . Out the door 20K so the rebates ate my negative equity .

oh a grand thats not to bad at all. Most people are down like 4-6 grand even more so 1k isn't bad. I've been seeing them in the 18k range lately.

Before taxes and title yada yada ... i got the TC in the 18K range. The dealer was running a 25% off sticker promo at the time , this was before GM declared bankruptcy so they were in limbo at the time.

Im just filied an insurance claim on the rear bumper and since it was a hit and run I only got to pay 200 bucks for insurance comes in. While im using the paint shop Im going to see what they can do about the side scratches hopefully they can buff those out and talk to see how m8uch they would charge to take the bumper off and fix the problem with my bumper.

mkulrey13: your tc makes want the tc so much more, I wanted white since everycar i've had has been white but I can't seem to find one in my range. And I will talk to the dealership about it too.

Only thing they updated for the warranty was the drivetrain warranty. The normal warranty goes out at 36k.
