well as the title says i am going to trade my car in for a tc since my dealer is giving me a hell of a deal..... do you think they will appraise my car lower being i have after market parts on it.... or should i wait and take them off before i go out there???

 

take off the aftermarket parts you wont get any more for it, and you can resell the parts

 

i was thinking that but they want me to go out today to get it appraised and i wasnt sure if they would appraise it lower b.c of the parts...

My car was worth more stock then with aftermarket parts..having just HU, speakers, rims and leather seats. Thats right, put cloth back in and it went up. Worked well for me both ways haha.

Its harder to sell a modified car then a stock, and dealers dont give you extra money for the parts on there. So part em out if you can.

Are you looking at the ones at pat obrien's? I talkeed with them about a 08 with 0 miles , but when i looked at it in GMVIS it had warranty blocks for a bunch of labor codes. Hail damage type stuff.

I'm still on the fence about it , i also have a deal working on a new 09 locally but i can't pull the trigger....... I like the SC too much. One day i want to trade .... the next i decide against it lol. My 06 has 25K miles on it and i pay 0% APR , i don't want to pay interest on a car anymore lol.

 

I actually got a bit more than blue book trade in on my old LS. I had full bolt-ons with tune (though I didn't tell them what the car had done to it). Interior had TWM short throw, aluminum pedals with a couple painted parts. Looked real clean nothing crazy but one of my hubcaps was cracked and had scratches on the trunk from my bike hitting it on the bike rack.

I just took off my rear sway bar, ingalls dampner and swapped the catless downpipe for the stock one which made it sooo much quieter. Really I don't think they even drove the damn thing. I just told them how much I was looking for and the gave me $500 more so I took it. My advice make it look, feel and sound as stock as possible for a better trade in price.
